Apply for the IMEC Manufacturing Reinvented Grant Program Today
Last year, the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) launched Manufacturing Reinvented, a five-million-dollar grant program that supports local, suburban manufacturers. The grant application portal is now open for any [Cook County] manufacturers interested in the program.
IMEC works with manufacturers in Illinois to help them excel and compete in today’s global economy. IMEC helps these businesses plan critical business improvements in all areas of their organization from Leading their Company, Planning for Success, Growing their Business, Improving their Operations, Focusing on their People, and Deciding with Data.
Businesses can apply by visiting www.imec.org/ccmr. Manufacturers with less than 500 employees are eligible to apply. Project awardees will be further prioritized based on business viability, potential economic impact, and total project investment.
Eligible businesses can receive reimbursements from $5,000 to $25,000 for projects in four key areas that include Accessing Customers and New Markets, Operational Improvements, Leadership Development, and Workforce Training Solutions. These four key areas may include projects such as cybersecurity, website development, lead generation, supervisory skills training, strategic planning, and talent acquisition.
IMEC also works with businesses to implement these improvement projects, from defining the project scope and evaluating solution options to figuring out next steps. Find answers to Frequently Asked Questions here.
“Through the Manufacturing Reinvented grant program, our goal is to help Cook County manufacturers find solutions that address their specific business priorities,” IMEC Vice President of Marketing, Kristy Johns said. “This support will give companies the tools and resources they need to grow in a number of impactful ways.”
