DuPage has a new program called Reinvest DuPage Grant Program, where small businesses and nonprofits in DuPage County can get a grant up to $50k and independent contractors can obtain a grant up to $15k.
Your organization could be eligible for the grant if it meets the following criteria:
- It's a business, nonprofit, or 1099 contractor located in DuPage County, Illinois.
- It has been in business as of January 1, 2019.
- It had a measurable revenue decline due to COVID-19 for the period beginning January 1, 2019, through December 31, 2019, as compared to January 1, 2020, through December 31, 2020. (Seasonal revenue fluctuations are not considered qualified COVID-19 reductions.)
- It's a small business or nonprofit, with annual gross revenue of less than $20 million.
- It's a 1099 independent contractor, with annual gross income less than $250,000 AND does at least 50% of your gross income come from 1099 work.
Applications are on a first come first serve basis and registration opens up this coming Monday, June 28th at 9am (CDT) on their website, www.choosedupage.com.
Applicants will need to provide a description of how they were impacted, including revenue decline, and a list of how the funds will be used.
